The essentials: FlyEMS (the device) and FlyEMS Monitor (the app) are situational-awareness aids for the pilot. They are not certified aviation instruments, they do not replace any equipment required by regulation, and responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft always rests solely with the pilot in command.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the FlyEMS engine monitoring system (hardware and sensors), the FlyEMS Monitor app, and the content of flyems.ar, products of Six Solutions, Bahía Blanca, Argentina. Using the device, the app, or the site implies acceptance of these terms.
2. Nature of the product — not certified instruments
- FlyEMS and FlyEMS Monitor are not aviation instruments certified by any aviation authority and were not designed, tested, or approved under avionics standards.
- They do not replace the aircraft instruments, equipment required by applicable regulations, official weather services, flight planning, or pilot judgment.
- They are intended for sport and recreational aviation (paramotor, paratrike, and similar) as complementary information.
3. Information limitations
The data shown by the device and the app — engine parameters, GPS position, speed, altitude, height above takeoff (AGL), heading, weather, and alarms — may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or interrupted without notice due to causes such as:
- sensor failure, miscalibration, or improper installation;
- loss of, or interference with, the Bluetooth link or GPS signal;
- failures, configuration, or limitations of the user's phone;
- unavailability or errors of third-party services (weather forecast, maps);
- battery depletion of any of the devices.
The pilot must cross-check information with independent sources and be prepared to operate with complete safety without the device or the app.
4. Pilot responsibility
The pilot in command is solely responsible for the decision to fly, the safe operation of the aircraft, engine maintenance, respecting the flight-equipment manufacturer's limits, and complying with the aviation regulations applicable in their jurisdiction. No FlyEMS indication, alarm, or absence of an alarm replaces these obligations.
5. Device installation and use
The device must be installed according to the FlyEMS user manual. Improper installation may produce wrong readings or affect engine operation. If in doubt, consult a qualified mechanic or installer. The manual is available at flyems.ar/manual.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Six Solutions shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including damage to the aircraft or engine, personal injury, loss of life, or economic losses — arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use the FlyEMS device, the FlyEMS Monitor app, or the information they provide. This limitation is not intended to exclude liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Device warranty
The FlyEMS device carries the applicable legal warranty against manufacturing defects under Argentine consumer-protection law. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, impacts, immersion beyond specifications, modifications, or normal wear. The FlyEMS Monitor app is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of the accuracy of third-party data.
8. Privacy
The app's data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
Six Solutions may update these terms; the current version is published on this page with its update date.
